Blaze Aid is a volunteer-based organisation that works with families and individuals in rural Australia after natural disasters such as fires and floods. Working alongside the rural families, our volunteers help to rebuild fences and other structures that have been damaged or destroyed Kilmore East farmers, Kevin and Rhonda Butler, out of the ashes of Black Saturday 2009. More can be found here on our About Us page. Blaze Aid is 100% Australian charity, meaning we only work throughout Australia. Yes! We are a considered a registered charity under The Australian Charity Not for Profit Commission (ACNC) and Consumers Affairs Victoria. This means any donations are tax deductible. BlazeAid helps farmers in all states. We have not done any work yet in ACT or NT, but if we needed to, we would. Its easy! We try our best to have as little ‘red tape’ as possible. Volunteers must be aged 12 years and older, as our Volunteer Workers Insurance only covers volunteers aged 12 and upwards. Any volunteers under the age of 18 years must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult. We are working on rural properties in challenging conditions, so please ensure any young volunteers are suited to this type of work. There is no age limit restriction on a volunteer being included however, the Volunteer must be able to take direction & work independently in order to be included.
